Repucom appoints Yoeri Geerits Vice President for Canadian Market

Yoeri Geerits | RepucomCalgary, July 29th, 2013 – Repucom, the global leader in sports marketing research, today announced the appointment of Yoeri Geerits to the position of Vice President Repucom Canada.

Mr. Geerits joins Repucom with over 15years of experience in the sports sponsorship and marketing space. Working at ING Group for the Investment Banking, Financial Markets and Marketing departments, Geerits developed a deep understanding of what drives successful corporate sponsorship programs, and how to use data and research to measure and improve them. Branching out on his own in 2008, Geerits launched his own consulting company threesixtythree. Mr Geerits willl further strengthen Repucom‘s position as leaders in the sports marketing research space, spearheading the company‘s consulting capabilities in Canada.

Regarding the appointment, Repucom Global CEO & Founder Paul Smith noted “Yoeri‘s high level experience and unique skill set combined with our wealth of data and market intelligence is a major win for our Canadian client base. In addition we expect Yoeri will be an active member of our global consulting team.“

Bringing both international and domestic experience to the Canadian market, Mr. Geerits worked on ING’s first global marketing & sponsorship program (major marathon / running events) in North America (New York City Marathon), Europe and Asia. He also managed ING’s entry into Fomula One which became the platform to drive ING’s global brand and business out of ING’s headquarters in Amsterdam. SportPro magazine noted that ING’s entry into the world of F1, which Yoeri architected, might have been the largest and most successful sponsorship in history. Whilst  at the head of his company threesixtythree Geerits worked with Corporate clients such as AltaGas and with rightsholders such as the Canadian Ski Federation (Alpine Canada), WinSport Canada, XTERRA.
