On Thursday, Repucom Japan hosted a seminar with the theme “the Olympics and Sponsorships” in Tokyo to explain how advantageous it is for companies to support the Olympics via sponsorship. Repucom, the world-wide leader in the field of the sports marketing research and consulting, emphasized that partnering with the Olympics provides sponsoring companies unparalleled opportunities to attract investments and stimulate economic growth, and of course Tokyo and Japan should take advantage of their chances with the 2020 Games.
According to Repucom’s analysis, the benefits of Olympic sponsorship are in areas pertaining to driving revenues, building brand equity, retaining and motivating employees, and strengthening relationships with the government.
Michael Lynch, the head of Repucom’s North American Consulting, who gave a keynote speech on the theme at the event, said that the inclusiveness of the Olympics is a big factor in maximizing sponsorships and will lead to social contributions.
