Panel Discussion at the SportAccord Convention 2015 with Paul Smith: When inequality IS the legacy

2015’s SportAccord Convention is well underway. One of the key things at the event is women and sport with Paul Smith, Repucom CEO, presenting the company’s insights into the growing rise and importance of female fans and female athletes.

In the panel discussion “When inequality IS the legacy” Kate Caithness OBE, President, World Curling Federation, Séverine Hubert, Managing Director, John Tibbs Associates, Hon Molly Rhone OJ, CD, President, International Netball Federation and Paul Smith discussed women in sport.

What is the legacy being left behind for girls starting out in sport today? Women have made great strides, but still have challenges even playing sport at all in some parts of the world, and often find it difficult to continue as professionals within the sports industry after their athletic careers are behind them. A group of seasoned professionals – both male and female — discuss the power of mentoring, advice they would offer the next generation, and what they hope their own legacies will be.
